CBS has given a series order to new drama Doubt, starring Grey’s Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl, EW has learned.
Heigl stars as a smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm who starts to fall for her charismatic client who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.
Steven Pasquale, Laverne Cox, Dulé Hill, Dreama Walker, Elliott Gould, and Kobi Libii will also star in the project from executive producers Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Adam Bernstein.
Doubt, which was redeveloped after failing to garner a pickup at the network last pilot season, marks Heigl’s return to primetime after her short-lived NBC series State of Affairs was canceled after one season.
