Report: Warriors pushing for Ray Allen comeback



(WTNH)–The Golden State Warriors already have four of the best shooters on the planet now that they’ve signed Kevin Durant.

So why not add another?

According to Basketball Insiders’ Alex Kennedy, Golden State is “pushing for” a Ray Allen comeback, and has been since 2014.

Arguably the greatest player in UConn history, Allen hasn’t played since 2014, when he averaged 9.6 points in 26.5 minutes per game with the Heat.

The NBA’s all-time leader in three pointers made (2,973), Allen turns 41 in two weeks. He has yet to officially retire, and according to all reports, has kept himself in basketball shape.

Twitter superstar (though he’s yet to play in an actual game) Joel Embiid seemed intrigued by the fact that Allen was trending on Twitter on Monday:
