England have beaten Australia 39-28 in the first test of their three game series, for their fourth win ever against Wallabies Down Under.
Tries from Jonathan Joseph, Marland Yarde, and Jack Nowell helped Eddie Jones to register a victory against his country of birth.
Owen Farrell kicked all three conversions, and six penalties, as England bossed much of the encounter – with Maro Itoje and James Haskell impressing in particular.
Confident from the start after beating Wales in their last fixture, Jones’ men went 10-0 down early but hit back to go in at the break winning 19-13.
With the second half came better performances from England, who went 32-18 up before seeing off a late fight back from the Wallabies.
